3911 LD Rhenen
The Rondeel is a museum in Rhenen in the Dutch province of Utrecht, where visitors to the area learn something of the history of the town of Rhenen. During the Middle Ages, Rhenen was on the border with ‘t Sticht en Gelre.
The archaeological collection includes tools, pieces of flint, arrowheads and pottery. The piece of flint from the Kwintelooijen quarry is one of the oldest relics of human habitation of the Netherlands, and dates from approximately 180,000 years ago.
